Senior Manager
Responsibilities
• Position is Senior manager for legacy products with dual reporting lines
• Manages a local team and Works closely with the Global.
• Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility and that necessary preliminary activity (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.
• Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
• Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate.
• Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
• Responsible for departmental budgets and spending requirements.
• Effectively utilizes computing resources for optimization of design development activities and timelines.
Job Specific Knowledge
• Requires experience in the conception, manufacturing and support of processing equipment.
• Requires specific knowledge in other disciplines or functions such as product development process (PDP), product release methodology, materials and supply chain management and, product quality improvement.
Skills
• Individuals must have an excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Individual must have experience in working in an international, multi-site environment.
• Individuals at this level must have well developed technical skills
• Requires strong skills in change management, problem solving, written and verbal communications, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills, and applying quality.
• Demonstrated ability required in Human Resources management and leadership.
• Requires knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform specific job function such as MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project.
Education
• 10+ years of experience in Engineering, including 5+ years supervisory / management experience.
• An advanced level degree (MS/PhD) in Engineering or Material Science.
