At the beginning of May 2010, Würth Solar concluded a cooperation agreement with Bar Energies based in Tel Aviv, and is therefore now active in the Israeli market.
The new Israeli representative for Würth Solar can draw on many years of experience in the green energy sector. Although the activities in Israel will initially focus on standard roof-mounted and roof-integrated solar power systems, special solutions such as for generating solar power in the Kibbutz communities will also be offered. In addition, the solar power experts in Israel also see excellent market opportunities in the facade integration sector. In order to install the photovoltaic systems on site, specially trained installation companies from the region will be drawn upon. “With Würth Solar we have found a partner that enables us as of now to provide innovative solutions for the complete range of photovoltaic applications. That gives us a valuable competitive advantage in this highly interesting growth market in Israel,” explains Michael Staudacher, Managing Director of Bar Energies.
With an average of 2000 hours of sunshine per year and government funding programmes, Israel offers excellent prerequisites for investing in solar power systems. Both private and commercial photovoltaic systems are subsidised up to an output of 50 kW. Solar power generation has been experiencing a boom in Israel for the last two years.
